God has called Living Water Fellowship to be a vibrant Christian community that glorifies God by inviting all people to become disciples of Jesus  who grow in his grace and go in his power to show his love to the world.

As member-disciples of Living Water Fellowship we strive, with God's help, to live out the life to which He has called us, a life revealing His glory. We at all times support, respect and trust our pastors and leaders, while also showing respect and support to all members of this Fellowship.

As disciples we are called to follow Jesus with our lives. Discipleship is an intentional pursuit as we seek to walk Jesus' way.  Our spiritual core values at Living Water reflect that desire to embody lives of growing PRAISE which bring honour and glory to His name.  We pray the Holy Spirit will empower us to:

PRAY and read God's Word devotedly

We take everything to God in prayer, not hoping that our prayer will change God, but hoping that our prayer will change us.

Luther said that we are to “so love God that we keep his word holy and gladly hear and learn it”. Growing in grace begins with a willingness to be lifelong students at the foot of Jesus, and purposefully grow into maturity in Christ through his Word.

Matthew 6: 5-15; Philippians 4: 4-7; Ephesians 6: 18-20; Psalm 119 : 105, John 8: 31-32, Isaiah 55:11’ Colossians 3:16, 2 Timothy 3: 16-17, Hebrews 4:12, Ephesians 4: 15-16, Colossians 1: 9-10, 1 Peter 2:2, 2 Peter3 :18

REGULARLY participate in ministry opportunities

Jesus provided the pattern for Christian ministry—He came, not to receive service, but to give it.

From the early New Testament churches to the churches of our day, each Christian should be in the ministry of helping others.  Ministry is impartial and unconditional, always seeking to help others as Jesus would.

Ministry places emphasis on sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ; but ministry also includes ministering to the physical, emotional, mental, vocational, and financial needs of others. Jesus did, and so should we!

 Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:1-17; Romans 12:3-8, 10-13; 2 Timothy 2:24-26

 John 1:12;  Colossians 2:6-7;  Galatians 2:20;  Philippians 3:8-10

ATTEND worship intentionally

We gather weekly in worship to be transformes by the grace of God as we are equipped by God’s word and nourished at his table. We gather to receive in his presence and to celebrate his living among us

Luke 24: 3-32, Psalm 95: 6-7, 1 Chronicles 16: 28-29, Ephesians 2: 8-9, Ephesians 5: 18b-20

IMITATE the character of Christ

Jesus provides us with the perfect role model for living and loving. We seek to walk Jesus’ way and become more and more like him each day – we are to be a visible sign of God’s love.

 Philippians 2:1-30; Ephesians 5:1; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 Corinthians 11:1; 1 Corinthians 4:16; Matthew 5:16

SERVE in, through and beyond Living Water Fellowship

“Each one should use whatever spiritual gift you have to serve others”. 1 Peter 4:10.

We are strongest when all partners in this faith community discover and use their spiritual gifts  to serve God’s mission and his people, and share his hope both locally and globally.

Acts 1: 8, Ephesians 5: 1-3Matthew 20:25-28, Romans 12: 4-8, 1 Corinthians 12: 7, 1 Peter 4: 10-11, Ephesians 4: 11-16; Matthew 28: 18-20, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 5: 1-2

EMBODY excellence and generosity of spirit in all things

God gave us his very best in Jesus. He deserves no less. In everything we do in ministry, we give God our very best in response to his great love for us.

We are of all people most blessed. Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly. Giving joyfully, thankfully, freely and generously is one of the most blessed things we do.

John 3:16; John 3:15; Colossians 3:17, 23-24; Philippians 4:8-9; 2 Corinthians 8:1-9; 2 Corinthians 9:6-15; Proverbs 5:5-9; Psalm 11:25; Luke 21:1-4; Acts 20:35
